Peter and I attended the Non-Smokers Speed Dating event in April. We were in different age groups (so not actually in a position to talk for those 7 minutes). There was a moment when I looked across and noticed him. I  thought to myself that I'd like to speak with him further, so when it was time for a break I went over and introduced myself.

At the end of the evening, Peter came over to where I was and we continued our conversation.  He later asked if I’d like to meet for coffee and catch up on the weekend, which we did and we haven’t looked back! We are both very happy.

Meeting Michel at Quick Connections' Barefoot Bowling event was completely unexpected. I went along purely for the experience and to meet people in a similar situation. Being in my early 40’s, divorced and not into the pub/club scene, it was hard to meet people in my everyday life. It was really refreshing to meet such a caring, considerate and genuine man.  We've been dating now for over six months and it's been wonderful, if it hadn’t been for Quick Connections, I would have never known this man existed.

To be honest I really didn’t want to go last night but went along just to see what the heck all the” fuss is about” and I had a really good night. I thought at worst I’d have a good time and that’s it. I actually went for a coffee in Cronulla with Michelle afterwards and honestly, I didn’t expect to meet someone like her. She is a such a beautiful woman; and more than a little bit cute, which is always a bonus. In fact we intend to catch up this weekend which I’m looking forward to.
