what is speed friending?

Laid back, local and very communal, Speed Friending is the latest social networking trend and it's now here in Sydney, Wollongong and surrounding areas. Much like speed dating, but without any pressure to build rapport in a such a short time span, speed friending is a relaxed, non-threatening way to make new social connections over a glass of wine and some great food. 

Bountiful platters come out to share with those at your table. Great company and great food often means strangers become new friends ... and new friends more often than not introduce you to their circle of friends. 

Speed friending isn’t exclusive to single men and women but most people who attend tend to be unattached and want to expand their social circle and have fun!  Instead of the usual 7 minutes associated with speed dating, you have 20 minutes to get to know those at your table before moving to another table with a new group of people and more food!
