My background is in events management and communications - the perfect combination for an events service for singles!
I started hosting speed dating events after speaking to attractive, intelligent single friends who live in and around Wollongong who all said the same thing: there's nowhere to go to meet potential partners outside the pub and club scene. So I decided to change all that.
Our events are an opportunity for people to find friends, affection and love in their life - all in a safe and stylish environment. They are geared towards professionals, but we have a range of people from various occupations joining us at each event. We've been determined to extend our personal commitment to supporting the environment to our business model. Quick Connections is Australia's first 100% carbon neutral singles events company. This means that all the CO2 emissions associated with hosting each of our events are calculated and offset. In fact, each event supports the installation of energy efficient light bulbs and low flow showerheads, helping Australia reduce its carbon footprint. Our office is run on 100% GreenPower too. It might not sound very sexy, but we're proud that our events contribute to reducing Australia's footprint.
